Over the past year, I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with Salam Hello, a brand renowned for its handwoven Moroccan rugs, to expand their assortment of made-to-order styles. I’m thrilled to share the first launch of our collaboration: Neutral Ground.

For this collection, I aimed to create styles that both elevate and ground a space. The rugs feature a soft palette, handcrafted details, and patterns inspired by the colors, shapes, and architectural elements found in Morocco. Below are some of the images that influenced the collection-

I’d love to share a little about how I approached this project, which will span three launches in 2025. While this isn’t a comprehensive list, it offers insight into how I collaborate with brands and artisans.

-Created a customized trend report, design concepts, and color palettes tailored to the brand’s aesthetic, customer demographic, and artisan capabilities.

-Developed assortment plans based on trend analysis, white space in the assortment, historical sales data, competitive market insights, and artisan capabilities.

-Designed three collections of bespoke rugs, encompassing design directions, color palettes, sketches, and technical specifications.
